RELATIONSHIPS

Optimus-Knock Out - please stop hitting on me :(
Clint-Harry - Clint is super wary of Harry for looking like Tony Stark but he's also aware that Harry is ... harmless. And he's a snark buddy, so that wins points in Clint's book. Still, it's a been unnerving to bff up with a Tony-clone.
Leto-Middleman - yeah no deep thoughts here, LET ME POKE YOU IN PLACES MIDDLEMAN. That's about it. Sometimes Leto gets vaguely irritated by the Middleman's values and attitude, but it's Leto, he lets it go very quickly.
uhh. Who else?

Kirk-Coulson - so like I said in plurk, Kirk doesn't really know how to feel about Coulson! He enjoys him a lot, Coulson makes him laugh and despite how different they are, Kirk feels there are enough similarities between the two of them that are intriguing. The whole being dead thing is irritating to him though. Dying is losing and Kirk doesn't want to lose. So he doesn't know how to feel about that! There's a reason why I've never let Kirk die at all. He would take it really badly. So he also took it badly when he heard Coulson was dead. Way to ruin the mood. That being said, he appreciates that the man is looking out for him, even if it makes him antsy. NO FEELINGS FOR YOU PHIL COULSON.
Clint-Coulson - blahblah all I know from canon is that Clint and Coulson clearly had a rapport. Clint drives him everywhere while Coulson sleeps, Clint isn't afraid of giving his opinion and Coulson is willing to follow it, despite rank and order. That proves that they were friends and that Clint is willing to listen to Coulson and vice-versa. Not to mention in Thor, Clint is very casual about his orders when they come to Coulson.
Now, I don't think Clint has that much of a rapport with anyone in SHIELD save for Fury, Natasha and Coulson (and probably Hill). I suspect most of SHIELD either ignores Clint a lot since he's distant and difficult to form any kind of real contact with (plus, Clint hangs out with Natasha....). Clint doesn't really mind, since he likes knowing them from afar, but it also means that he's very protective about the few people he knows and likes. Fury, Nat and Coulson were his family, his world and he lost one of them. So obviously, he's upset over it, he can't fix it, and seeing Coulson again wasn't part of any plan.
tldr; feels but relief at the same time! There's a higher ranking order and that always sets Clint's nerves at ease.
IS THERE ANYONE ELSE?

Wesley-Leto - Leto does get where Wesley is coming from, but Leto being Leto, has a very different way of helping him get better. So he confronted him in hilarious ways and watched him flip out. He doesn't mind that Wesley hates him. He thinks it would be healthy for Wesley to have that channel of hatred.
Clint-Wesley - ASSASSIN BROSSSS Clint genuinely likes Wesley a lot! Guy who appreciates shooting things! Guy who appreciates his humour! It's nice to be casual about himself, his job and the things that Clint loves. That being said, Wesley's story sobered him up a little and Clint does feel a little bad for him. He won't condescend to him or anything like that, but Clint has a way of working with people who think they're at dead ends. He gets them out. So if that ever happens to Wesley, Clint has his back.
no subject
Coulson-Clint - ahaha god. Clint is pretty much one of Coulson's favorite agents, in as much as Coulson plays favorites. Coulson respects his skills and his opinions and more importantly, he trusts Clint. He understands Clint's feelings but he doesn't cross too many boundaries to give it. He just eases back and takes charge and lets Clint know there's someone watching his back while he's on the front line.
What Clint said about Coulson not being there anymore and Bruce saying he's happy for Coulson kind of struck a chord in Coulson, he doesn't for a second regret his actions on that deck that day and he doesn't regret dying. It was part of the job. Part of the risk. But being alive now and seeing/hearing about the effects of it is kind of jarring. Who the hell's gonna herd the Avengers and the agents now? He doesn't doubt that there will be capable of agents but now there's a lingering nagging feeling. He still wants to go back to work. That's where he belongs. So his current reaction is just to take charge as a SHIELD agent while he's in Camp. And continue to do so until he's forced to leave/face his death again. And it kind of surfaces a lot more around Clint just because that's kind of part of the rapport they have. They are friends and superior/subordinate. That makes things normal. :|a
Wesley-Leto - oh boy. Wesley hates Leto. He's already unnerved that Leto looks like him. Even more unnerved that Leto caught the bullet with his bare hands. But the rage kind of overwrites everything. He hates that Leto knows everything about him and is poking at all his raw nerves. He just feels like he's being mocked and ridiculed and gosh he's had enough of that in his life. Vanya's kind of put a damper on the hate for a bit with how much she likes Leto and some of the things she said. (Like Leto saying meeting Wesley is supposed to be an adventure) That said, he's probably going to continue to be high strung and angry around Leto for a while.
Wesley-Clint - b-broooos. Wesley is still kind of hesitant about it but he does like Clint. Getting to casually talk about killing things or shooting things or about his life without getting judged for it is... nice. He's unsure about the offer to join SHIELD since he's gotten an innate distrust of organizations in general, but it's really nice to have? It's not forced on him or anything. Just an option. And he's grateful to Clint for it. Basically, Wesley has some dere friends feelings he's cautiously poking at. '-'

Monkey Magik feat Yoshida Brothers - Change
I need a change
'Cause it's all gone wrong for me.
(I want) somebody else to lead me now.
Scott Summers:
Sanders Bohlke - For The Weight Of Us
There are thieves, who rob us blind,
and kings, who kill us fine,
but steady, the rights and the wrongs
invade us, as innocent song.
I'm not ready, I'm not ready
For the weight of us, for the weight of us, for the weight of all of us.
Rex Salazar:
Flobots - Handlebars
My power is pure
I can handout a million vaccinations
Or let em all die from exasperations
Have 'em all healed from their lacerations
Or have em all killed by assassinations
I can make anybody go to prison
Just because I don't like 'em
I can do anything with no permission
Jim Kirk:
OK GO - Do what you want
So you were born in an electrical storm, took a bite out the sun and saw your future in a machine built
for two. Now your rays make me kind of go crazy, shock and awe and amaze me, just a ticker tape parade and
me, but something was wrong till you tap danced on the air, in the night. Screaming at the top of your
lungs, you said, "Come on, come on. Do what you want. What could go wrong? Oh come on come on come on
Hmm. One piece of headcanon for each character.

I don't know, Clint obviously hates Loki's guts ferociously. Loki ruined his life, his family, his everything. And Clint doesn't know how to get it back, doesn't know how to fix it, because he's not a fixer, he's a sniper. So there's a lot of underlying anger and fury over the things he's lost thanks to being Loki's puppet.
That being said, Clint isn't going to deny the things that happened. That's not his style. He doesn't do the denial card, he doesn't pretend things away, he takes it, puts it in his quiver and fires away. So while it is an uncomfortable topic for him, he's going to keep at it because he needs more answers than what Loki has given him. And he means what he says! He does feel, that out of everyone, save maybe Thor, Clint is the closest person who can get him. He doesn't like it, doesn't care much for it, but it makes him an asset and he will use it any way he can if it means stopping Loki or the other big bad on the other side.
He doesn't like Loki, he hates him, he will use him, he would rather pick up apart for tooth-picks, he just wants everything that ever happened with him and Loki to be over and it's not because Loki is in camp and Clint can't help feeling a little desperate and jumpy around him.
Reverse!
no subject
...Loki likes Clint.
And hates him and almost--not fears but...kind of uncomfortable around him. Because I don't think he actually expected Clint to be freed from the hold on his mind, whether or not he expected Clint to stay free/survive the attack on the helicarier, so I do feel like Loki most likely allowed himself to be seen as vulnerable. He'd have been careful not to let that happen with the enemies of SHIELD, whoever they were using, because anyone that is bought can be bought, and showing weakness to people you're supposed to be leading is just a bad idea. And Selvig was busy and who the fuck knows what happened to that other SHIELD agent Loki took at the beginning... ANYWAY. (I'm sorry, I get distracted by my own thoughts a lot.)
Clint knows too much about Loki and what he's like and it's...not good. Loki doesn't exactly want to appear human to the, well. humans. and Clint's tasted Loki's mind and really, I don't think Loki's really all there, by Avengers. And having a conversational partner ("partner") who is bound to...not betray him is safe. Selvig's busy, so Clint's who he had! Even if it was just him having Clint give up personal information about Natasha, and details about the other (potential) Avengers and SHIELD, it's still like... For once, in Loki's life, someone is paying attention to him. And it's true and it's horrible, what Clint was saying in our current thread! That he's probably one of very very few who knows Loki, or could get to know him. Loki doesn't like that very much.
So with Clint in camp, Loki pretty much tries...pretty desperately, really, to maintain the air of being all-knowing and all-powerful and essentially kind of...other... Especially because he's aware of how much he unsettles Clint, he uses that to his advantage. And at the same time, contradictorily, he's still most willing to show his weaknesses to Clint rather than, say, Coulson.
...idk... I just babbled a lot.
THOUGHTS ON WHAT I JUST SAID??
I feel like I play a very just-surface version of Loki in camp, because I'm so much more afraid of fucking things up and also because he has so much more to lose in camp than he does when I play him in BS... BUT MOSTLY BECAUSE I'M SO MUCH MORE AFRAID OF FUCKING THINGS UP.

As for liking Clint, Clint is weirdly likeable and nice and offers things like second chances and happy endings. It's hard NOT to like him when you know that much about his personality, like his history with Natasha.
Hmmm. Plans?

pretty, though!
and mostly I just kinda wanna see where they can go. like...if they end up finding some sort of neutral ground or if it just gets even more antagonistic or...idk! I just feel like, though there are things about every single Avenger that Loki can bond with (I READ A LOT OF LOKI-CENTRIC SHIPPY FIC, STFU), from a camp perspective (just a platonic one not necessarily romantic!!) I think Clint and Loki have a lot of potential to go in any number of ways and it's interesting!
although we may need to depend more on forced interactions as time passes...
WHAT ABOUT YOU '-'
no subject
I think, due to the head-messed-around stuff, Clint is always going to be ... drawn to Loki, one way or another. He can't just ignore what Loki has done. It's interesting that when they corner Loki in the end, Clint's the only person drawing his weapon. For Clint, he feels he has the most stake in Loki's life and death. He wants to be the one to judge, even though he knows it's not his call and going down that road... well, he'll lose himself a bit on that road. He's not Nat or Fury, he can't do grudges.
Forced interactions are a go, yeah. Clint is still surprised that Loki turned his back to him to begin with, but finding out that he was already pegged somewhat to be a soldier was ... disheartening really. He's starting to hate himself a bit, for having a heart, for having weaknesses he knows he can't help having. And while Nat has assured him that he's fine the way he is, he has yet to come to terms with it and he feels that going through Loki is the way to do it. SOME... HOW.
Loki on SHIELD?
no subject
Do you think Clint would actually kill Loki if given the chance? Say, uh... They're alone, just them, no one else around to judge him either way, Loki's weak or injured or whatever, Clint has a clear shot and they both know that if he takes it, Loki'll die.
no subject
Hm, list the Avengers Loki would kill, from first to last.
no subject
ASSUMING NO EXTRA KNOWLEDGE/BONDING/IDK just as of the end of Avengers+...camp...?
Hulk
Natasha
Steve
Bruce
Tony
Clint
Thor
HULK AND BRUCE ARE DIFFERENT cause Loki's chatted a bit with Bruce and it's not like these are evenly spaced on the scale okay.
Why didn't Clint just let the arrow loose when Loki presented his back?
no subject
- not interested in dying
- was kind of shocked that he actually did it.
- didn't want to be the guy who shot arrows at people's backs.
That's pretty much it! Plus Coulson told him not to retaliate so he's clinging onto that order at the moment. Does Loki have any questions about camp and the Avengers? Things he just wants to know?
no subject
IT'S A LITTLE HARD TO THINK OF THINGS OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD :(((
but yes he does have things he wants to know :|a
does clint have anything he wants to know about/of/from loki that he hasn't asked already?
no subject
- what did he do to Nat
- was there any point in having him at all mr. I'm better than humans!!
- What did he plan to do with him afterwards
- why he asked about his life to begin with.
Stuff like that! And so on.
Lesse. One scenario you want to play out somehow.

but if possible, I'd love to see what would happen if they were allied. not necessarily permanently, but just for long enough that they'd have to work together and it might remind them of during-the-movie and it might just be rough edges grating against one another but... I'd love to see what might come out of it.
YOU?
