To be honest, I'm not sure. I was on the roof and then Loki cornered me with the scepter.

What makes you so sure it wasn't him? Wouldn't put it past Loki to find a way to get his hands on the scepter.

It wasn't him.

[his knuckles go white but he keeps going] The real Loki showed up soon after and the thing -- whatever it was -- changed shape.
